1.) Annual Dennis P. Zine July 4th Extravaganza in Woodland Hills – July 4, Concert 6:00 – 8:00 pm, fireworks to live music at 9:08 pm – Warner Park, 5800 Topanga Canyon Blvd., Woodland Hills – Huge Fourth of July fireworks festival in the West Valley with food vendors, play zone, a free concert and fireworks show.

2.) Annual San Fernando Valley Independence Day Celebration – July 4, 10 am – 10:00 pm, Fireworks around 8:30 pm – Hansen Dam Recreation Area, 11770 Foothill Blvd., Lake View Terrace – FREE – A holiday celebration in the San Fernando Valley featuring music and other live entertainment, food, and fireworks. Take a swim in the 1.5-acre swim lake available for use during the day.

3.) July 4th Fireworks Festival in Studio City – July 4, 5:00 – 9:30 pm, gates open at 4:30 pm – CBS Studio Center, 4024 Radford Ave., Studio City, Los Angeles.  www.studiocitychamber.com
Cost: Adults $20, Children 6-12 $10, add $20 for rooftop viewing access or pay $100 for VIP tickets.
This is a fun-filled family festival featuring exhibits, music, food, fireworks, a children’s fun zone, and a business exposition in a back lot at CBS Studios.

4.) 4th of July Fireworks Show in La Crescenta –Music, rides and a line-up of food trucks, culminating in a fireworks show.
When: July 4, Gates open at 4 pm and close at 8:30 pm, Fireworks at 9 pm
Where: La Crescenta Elementary School, 2800 Prospect Ave., La Crescenta, CA
Cost: General Admission $7 pre-sale, $10 at the gate, Children 7 and under free. Rides extra.

5.) 4th of July Spectacular in Porter Ranch – The Free festival and fireworks show at Shepherd of the Hills Church in Porter Ranch includes moon bounces and face painting for the children, an outdoor stage show as well as optional food purchases from over a dozen local food vendors; all capped off with a twenty-one-minute aerial fireworks display.
When: July 4, 4:00 pm – 10 pm, Gates open at 4:00

6.) July 4th Barn Dance and BBQ at Theatricum Botanicum – Not one of the biggest events, but a lot of fun – an Old Fashioned Barn Dance and Barbecue will take over the woodsy cove at Will Geer’s Theatricum Botanicum in Topanga Canyon for the afternoon on July 4th.  There will be children’s games, a pie-eating contest, watermelon seed-spitting contest, cake walk, horseshoes, relay races, dunk bucket and more. Barbecue and fixins, beer and wine available for purchase. The fun ends at 5, so there’s plenty of time to head out either side of the Canyon to find some fireworks or stick around for the performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

7.) 4th of July AmericaFest at the Rose Bowl -One of the largest fireworks displays in Southern California with music and food vendors in the nearby Arroyo.
When: July 4th, parking lot opens at 10 am, food court opens at 2 pm; stadium opens at 6:30 pm, Opening ceremonies begin at 7, Program 7:25, Fireworks at 9:05 pm.
Where: The Rose Bowl Stadium, Pasadena
Cost: $15-30, Kids 5 and under free in GA section. Children require a ticket in Reserved seating. Active Military with ID Free (up to 4 tickets per family), Veterans get 1 free ticket, available from the ticket booth near Gate B, doesn’t include parking. Advance tickets on sale in May through www.ticketmaster.com. Box office a week before and cash only at the stadium.
